Last week my friend Katie and I grabbed lunch at a relatively new restaurant in downtown Orlando called Frank & Steins. It’s a sports bar type restaurant that revolves around different types of hot dogs and beers (get it?), although they also have sandwiches and salads.
Katie ordered the basil pesto chicken sandwich, and I ordered the tuna melt.

The sandwich was good, but keep in mind that when you order that the sandwich doesn’t come with any sides. You just get the sandwich. For extra money, you can order chips, and they’ll give you a bag of chips. They don’t offer any homemade potato chips or fries. I think they should consider adding fries or something to their menu.
I am excited to return to try one of their ¼ pound hot dog concoctions. They also have board games and arcade games, so it seems like it’d be a fun atmosphere at night or during happy hour.

I completely forgot to post this yesterday. As you may recall, my gym was closed this was week, so I did a lot of DVD workouts. I was itching to get some cardio in once the gym reopened on Saturday. I have to say that I’m pretty impressed with the renovations. All the cardio machines now have their individual TVs, ipod hook ups, are brand new and there is a lot more of them.
Are you a fan of hot dogs? It seems like people either love them or hate them, and in the south I’ve found that people don’t like them as much as people did when I lived in the north. I love a good, all beef hot dog.

I’ve been seeing Frank & Steins everywhere on the Orlando blog world! I have GOT to check this place out.
I mean, basil pesto chicken sandwich? What am I waiting for!?
Thank you for this review! Excellent choice of sandwich, mine would have probably been the same
And I agree, they should include some kind of side with the meal, there are few restaurants that don’t do this
Can’t do hot dogs, they seem to obliterate my stomach
I keep hearing my coworkers talk about this – I love how clever the name is! Did you happen to notice if they had any non-meat options or a veggie dog?
Unfortunately, I didn’t see any veggie dogs. Do you know if any place in Orlando offers them? I’d love to try a good one!
I just drove by this place the other day & wondered if it was any good — did they have vegetarian options? I may have to check it out.
I didn’t see any vegetarian hot dog options, but they do have sandwiches and salads that might be meat-free. Let me know if you check it out!
I will eat one hot dog a year and that is about it! I’m more of a burger person and as tasty as a grilled hot dog is, I feel SO gross after I eat one!
